Hello, My name is Alesya.

I am currently based in the beautiful city of Den Haag.

I am a dancer, performer, choreographer. Let's say, I work with various aspects of arranging movement in time and space.

WHERE I'M COMING FROM. I have been actively involved in the House Dance scene for over a decade. During this time, I have participated in numerous festivals and have won several major events, including Random Circle, Street Star, and House Dance Forever. I even had the opportunity to reach the final of the main edition of Juste Debout in Parisian Bercy, although I have lost in the final against the Frankwa brothers. But it's worth mentioning that these names are mostly known among the scene and can be like extra confirmation for those who are into it. Don't like to brag too much). Also, apart from my House Dance journey, I've been diving into the world of theater and performance art for the last seven years.

WHERE I AM CURRENTLY NOW. I am currently in the process of discovering my own movement language, which consists of elements from House dance, UK Jazz Fusion, and various movement experiments. I enjoy deconstructing and abstracting elements from these styles and incorporating them into my own body. Over the years, I have also taken many gaga classes, which have had a significant impact on my movement style. At this point, it is difficult to precisely define my style. It can be described as a blend of explorative footwork elements and fluid bodily movements.

WHAT IS MY PATREON. I've been teaching for more than half of my life. Teaching has always been a place for me to grow, clarify, solidify, and dive deeper into the movements and concepts I work with. But, because of the Covid pandemic, I've had to stop regular classes as my schedule no longer allows for it. That's why, after thinking about the idea of Patreon for a while, I've decided to give it a shot.

I see this platform as a space where I can share my practice and invite you to join me. I put together short videos where I explain in detail the ideas, concepts, and techniques that currently fascinate me. I break them down so they become clear and understandable, allowing you to apply them to your own practice. Plus, I share things that inspire my artistry, like readings, references to other artists, inspirations, music and all the things I find exciting for my practice.

I hope this platform can be a valuable resource for you to improve your own practice.
